Self-Investments, INSPIRATION, and INTENTION

INSPIRATION & INTENTION

The name of my practice, The Overview, is inspired by The Overview Effect—a term coined to describe the profound cognitive shift astronauts experience when viewing Earth from space. It’s a moment of awe and self-transcendence, where borders dissolve, and the preciousness of life becomes undeniably clear. That kind of shift — one that realigns identity, perspective, and purpose — is at the heart of the work I do.

In our coaching space, we cultivate your version of the Overview Effect. Not in orbit, but through grounded inquiry, embodied presence, and deep attention to what is asking to emerge. It’s not just about seeing your life from a new vantage point — it’s about inhabiting it differently.

The Inner Work Behind the Outer Work

I believe the most skillful leaders — and the most impactful coaches — are the ones who have invested in themselves and done their own inner work. My commitment to my growth over the years is a foundational piece of my approach. I don’t have it all figured out – I’m human and ever evolving just like you. I'm in the practice right alongside you: evolving, unlearning, returning to myself again and again.

Here are some of the self-investments I’ve made in my education, certification, and evolution over the years. Each of them uniquely informs how I engage with you.

  • Integral Psychology Professional Coaching, 12-month training, New Ventures West

  • Associate Certified Coach, International Coaching Federation (ICF)

  • Trauma-Informed Practitioner Certification, Trauma & Somatics

  • Polyvagal Theory Immersion, Dr. Stephen Porges, Embodied Philosophy

  • Landmark, The Forum, Advanced Programs, SELP, Communication Course

  • The Hoffman Process, The Hoffman Institute

  • Shipibo Ayahuasca lineage, 5 years of working with plant medicine

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Coaching relationships, 10+ years

There are no borders or boundaries on our planet except those that we create in our minds or through human behaviors. All the ideas and concepts that divide us when we are on the surface begin to fade from orbit and the moon. The result is a shift in worldview, and in identity… So, do you want to change the world? It begins with how you see the world. It begins with your worldview.
